Asmedia 106x Sata 6G Drivers

I have a Asus Sabertooth Z77 mb and wonder what are the best Asmedia 106x Sata 6G Drivers to use for this.Any reccomendations for the best speed and stability for my Samsung 840 pro ssd drives.

With my Z77 and Z97 systems running Win8.1 I prefered the generic MS AHCI driver

Thanks for the info Fernando.Where can I get the generic MS AHCI driver,I would like to test it against the Asmedia 1.4.1.0 drivers .Is it posted here somewhere.

It is the default on-board AHCI driver of all Windows Operating Systems since Vista. It is named msahci.sys (Vista/Win7) or storahci.sys (Win8/8.1/10).

The only other driver I see in device manager under compatable hardware is Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA controller.Is this the one you mean.I do not see msahci.sys driver.Is there anywhere i can download the msahci.sys driver to test against asmedia 106x sata 6g driver.

Yes.
The Device Manager lists devices and not drivers. "Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller" is the name of the device, which is managed by the generic MS AHCI driver named msahci.sys.

There is no no need to download it, because it is part of the OS.
You can find the driver msahci.sys within the Windows\System32\drivers folder.
