Asmedia not found

Hello everyone.
First of all, thanks for the blog and sorry for my bad English.
I have an ASUS Z97-Pro / Wifi ac with USB 2.0 / 3.0 ports Intel and 2 USB 3.0 ports ASMedia. These 2 ports, at first, were recognized by the BIOS and Windows. After several reboots, no longer appeared either in the device manager or were present in the BIOS.
Appeared sporadically, as well as the PCI Express Root Port 7 of which depends according to the device manager in "Devices by connection".
When you put the "hidden devices" visible, appear with error code 45 (disconnected device) both ASMEDIA and PCI Root.
Attempts to check the firmware that has the AS1042AE chip, have been unsuccessful and that apparently does not exist or is not connected to the bus.
If restarted or reinstalling the BIOS, appeared again.
Now no longer appear in any case.
I thought it might be a defective system board, but after a RMA, the problem appears again.
I think the problem may be a failure to detect devices on the PCI channels and / or a wrong BIOS programming.
Looking for google I saw that the problem is not only mine, and doing a search for "The Asmedia USB Host Controller was not found" with several examples.
My questions are: Can influence the "Intel Management Engine" in this? and if so, I can do anything? .
Greetings and thanks.

@ Flautero:
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

I am sorry, but I cannot help you, since I am not an expert regarding your problem.
Maybe plutomaniac, lordkag or CodeRush will be able to give you an answer.

The ME should not be related to such issues. Either way, the latest BIOS (2205) already includes the latest firmware we know of which is 9.1.25.1005. Use MEInfo v9.1 to verify that if you want.

To me it looks like a BIOS issue. After updating the BIOS, did you restore to default settings? Try that first. It's a must to clear any conflicting old configurations.

At the FAQ of the board, I also found this which might be interesting:

Hi plutomaniac.

Yes.

The BIOS version is 2205.
Default state with CMOS_CLR and removed battery.
Windows is updated.
Drivers updated.
Multiple installations of windows (UEFI and Legacy).
INT19 enabled & disabled.

The ASMEDIA USB ports charge a cell phone but is not recognized as an external device.

Greetings and thanks.
