Hello to all ! I hope that someone can help me to solve my problem 
I’m days and days trying to find a solution to my problem. I currently have an ASRock X79 Extreme4-M and an i7 3820. I bought a xeon e5 1650 v2, but when the cpu arrived it turned out that is not officially supported to my motherboard.
I tried everythng, downloading and flashing Every BIOS asrock site has in (3.01 , 3.05 , 3.30 and 3.40) but with no success.
I tried to update the ME subsystem since i have the 8.1.40.1416, but the firmware won’t update at all and keeps the same version . I even noticed that ASROCK Extreme4 (not M) does support the 1650 v2, and my board does not, i really don’t know whats wrong betweeen AsRock and IVY-EP CPus.
Using UEFItool on the Regular Extreme4 i saw that this boad has the same ME version 8.1.40.1416, so i don’t think it could be a ME-related problem.
I tried updating the microcode on UBU but nothing, same 00 error.
Is there a way to make this CPU work on my motherboard?
I really hope someone can help me, i’m not a newbie on pc stuff so if there can be a Hard or difficult Procedure to make this cpu work, i’m glad to try every single way to fix that.7
