ASUS just released BIOS 3101 for their x299 sage/10g motherboard.
However i just tried to flash my sage/10g with it via the FlashBack feature of that board and it was flashed successfully.
But after restarting it, the newly installed 3101 BIOS doesn’t detect my 2 installed M.2 Samsung 970 EVO SSD anymore.
One of them where installed with WINDOWS 10 under UEFI, the other contains macOS with OpenCore UEFI bootloader.
Both SSD where detected successfully under BIOS 2002 and system was able to boot the machine from both SSDs.
So i would like to ask any SAGE/10G owners here: who of you is running this board complete error free with BIOS 3101 and
could do me a favor? I would like to ask, if anyone of you is able to dumb their working BIOS 3101 from within windows via FPTW64?
If you don’t know how to do it, it is just simple:
- boot your system into WINDOWS. Create a folder “temp” in the root of your C: drive.
- download the attched zip-file and unzip it to your C:\temp\ folder
- open a CMD window as admin and type the following:
cd \temp\fptw64<br />
- to make a dump of your working BIOS 3101 just type the following:
fptw64.exe -D asus_3101.rom
- this will dump your working BIOS 3101 right into your C:\temp\FPTW64\ folder with filename “asus_3101.rom”
- please zip the file and upload it to this thread for me.
Thanx in advance…
MDOEHLER
As you can see in the screenshot:
only legacy bootloader of the WINDOWS ssd is detected.
Anyway UEFI bootloader on USB-devices get detected correctly
