Can anyone help me out i been trying to mod bios to show IntelRCSetup but seem to get no where, i managed to mod bios but no matter what USB i use it will not flash. Using Bios flash back method.

Think i may be having header problems. with my current modded file

Current Bios is 4001

below you can find a copy of my modded cap file dont know if it helps

think i just need a fresh set of eyes to look it over…

Edit: Main goal is try enable PCIE bifurcation so i can use an asus hyper m.2 v2. in PCIE Slot 1, i want move my NVME in to one slot because i ran out of PCIE slots, this would free up 3 slots…

Process so far,

1.Downloaded Original Bios for ASUS
2.Opened original Bios in UEFITOOL
3.Copied original Bios in another folder open with AMIBCP
4. Made changes and saved Modded files
5. opened modded cap in UEFiTool and extracted bios region with changes.
6. went back to original Bios open earlier UEFITool, replaced bios region as is with modded one.
7. then saved it, ready to flash.
8.moved it to USB disk 8GB format in fat32 renamed the modded file to X99EU31.CAP as per instructions on asus website.

went to flash and nothing light flashes a few times and goes solid blue.

just not sure why? its happening…

Try to flash the original 4001 bios by USB BFB feature, this will give some more info if its hw/mb issue or USB disk. You should try it after CMOS clear/cold reset and 1 ram stick/ one pair only, if it fails only options are Intel FPT (bios_region only) or programmer, for the mod.
