Asus Z170 Deluxe Whea Logger Event ID17

Got a new PC build consisting of:

Intel i7 6700K
Asus Z170 Deluxe Bios 1602
Samsung 850 Pro 1TB SSD
Evga GTX 980Ti
Corsair RMI 850 Power Supply

I’m using Windows 10 x64.

My problem is that from time to time I get in in the Windows event viewer in the system
Part the following warning:

WHEA Logger Event ID

And hardware error has been occurred and corrected ( something like this)

Referring to the PCIe express Root hub.

I can’t reproduce this error. It’s happening from time to time, is there something broken with my MB?

I’m using the Intel Chipset driver 1.1.1.7 from Asus because I can’t find the newer version 1.1.1.9 because it says that it’s only for NUC Boards?

What to do know? Ignore the error message or is there something defect?

@raveya :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

I don’t know. For further details please have a look into >this< discussion about a rather similar error message. If the problem should persist, I recommend to contact the ASUS support.

The error message you got has definitively nothing to do with the INF files of the "Intel Chipset Device Software".

That’s an error message I originally got with my X99 build as well. I managed to resolve this by doing a BIOS update.

There’s a newer BIOS available for your motherboard, I suggest you update and report back.

If it still won’t go away, things may point to a hardware fault, but that’s not for sure.
