Hello,

I just want to change High Precision Event Timer hidden BIOS setting to off? Does this guide to laptop motherboards work on mine desktop motherboard too? http://voltground.com/haven/threads/102/

1. Open AFUWIN and save BIOS -DONE
2. Open saved bios with AMIBCP v5.0.1 and change High Precision Event Timer to USER -DONE
3. Open AFUWIN, open modified BIOS and click flash. Is this safe / proper way to do it?

Hi, whats the advantage of setting the HPET to User please?

On Asus motherboards HPET off helps if game stutters and mouse & computer is more responsive and it might help with DPC latency too. I don’t know why Asus Hided this setting and their customer service is very poor to fix it…

Can som1 help us with enabling the HPET (and maybe other goodies?) in the BIOS?

I am unable to even find the string "High Precision Event Timer" in the latest 3501 Bios. Any1 else?
