Best Intel RAID ROM match for Intel RST RAID driver v11.2.0.1006

Hello and first I want to say thank you for the forum! I have been researching Intel RST RAID drivers over the last week and have found this forum a most valuable resource! Lots of very interesting information here.

I was hoping to get some advice on the following. My motherboard is the Supermicro X9SAE with BIOS 2.0 flashed which contains Intel RAID ROM v11.1.0.1413.
There have been 2 newer BIOS released: 2.0a with v11.6.0.170 and 2.0b with v12.5.0.1815
I am planning to use 2x Intel SSD 730 Series 480GB in RAID0 for boot drive in Windows 7 x64 with RST drivers v11.2.0.1006 (based on post here)

I see here that RAID ROM v11.1.0.1413 is a good match for Intel RST RAID driver v11.2.0.1006
My question: Do you think there is enough difference between RAID ROM v11.1.0.1413 and v11.2.0.1527 to risk flashing a modded BIOS?
Also, of the 3 choices (v11.1.0.1413, v11.6.0.170, v12.5.0.1815) do you agree v11.1.0.1413 is the best match for Intel RST RAID driver v11.2.0.1006?

Thank you for your time and again for the forum, it’s been a great help!

Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!

Probably not. There is not a big difference between v11.1.0.1413 and v11.2.0.1527, because they both are from the same "classical" RST development tree v11.x.x.xxxx

Yes!

Enjoy the Forum and your RAID0 system!

Wow, thank you for the fast reply! I will stay with current BIOS as I’ve had no problems in 2.5 years of ownership. I will post some benchmarks when I get the new drives installed
