Best Performance PC Build Hardware Components for Windows 7 Gaming

Hello,

Could we get together as a community and discuss the best possible components for a Windows 7 PC Build, targeted to gaming/high performance? Ideally, the manufacturers would have driver and firmware updates compatible with Windows 7, but an unofficial patch would be sufficient if it’s reliable.

I’m then going to buy these parts that we discuss, and build the PC.

Components Parts List:

  • Case, ATX (Chosen: be quiet! Silent Base 802)
  • Case Fan Cooling
  • Motherboard
  • GPU
  • RAM
  • Storage Memory
  • Power Supply
  • CPU
  • CPU Cooling
  • CPU Thermal Paste
  • CPU Thermal Paste Guard
  • Cables

In your replies, if you could please state the category of the part you’re suggesting, a URL and price tag. This will help me put together a database. Example:

User XYZ’s Commented

GPU, I think we can agree on NVIDIA 3000 Series. I am now looking into Motherboards, nudging towards ASUS (unsure which, however), and CPUs, leaning towards AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. If anyone has knowledge of Windows 7 Compatibility, don’t hesitate to put a comment in!

GPU: Up to RTX3060 Drivers available.
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x works flawless with pached USB 3.0 drivers (and updated bios if you’re on B450)
Chipset: B450 works out of the box. DO NOT buy asus motherboards. The BIOS is buggy and causes issues with Win7.
