This weekend I tried to mod my bios on my laptop, but my modded rom was not good. Now my laptop doesn’t show a screen and cant come into my bios anymore. So I realize I need to get tools to reflash my bios chip with another computer.
Information:
- ASUS N551JQ
- Winbond W25Q64FVSIQ
- Got a working bios rom backup
What I think I need:
Bios programmer CH341 LINK
Bios chip LINK
So my idea is to flash the bios directly on my laptop with the CH431, if that doesnt work I buy the chip and solder it on my laptop.
I never have flashed a bios this way, so I hope someone can help me to get in the right direction and let me know if what I plan to do will work?
