I am having driver difficulties with the Broadcom BCM57416 Ethernet controller under Windows 7. I have tried the drivers from the motherboard driver installation DVD, Snappy Driver installer, and the Windows Update Catalog. The driver fails to start, even when disabling driver signature verification. While this network adapter is typically used in servers, the drivers for Windows Server 2008 should work. Oddly enough under the Windows Update Catalog this driver is listed as being compatible with Windows Server 2008 but there is no mention of Windows Server 2008 R2. It’s a fairly newer Ethernet controller which makes Windows Server 2008 drivers seem usual. Which other methods should I try to get the driver to work. Is it possible to modify the INF files from the driver for Windows Server 2012? The motherboard is the Supermicro H12DSi-NT6
