Can someone update my BIOS?

Hello,
i’ve got a MSI Z97 PC Mate mainboard.
It has an AMI Bios (Aptio 4).
But everytime, when i try to change the microcode of the bios i get an incompatible file size.

So can someone please update the bios modules and change the microcode (7) (Haswell) with UBU?

Currently i’ve the bios version 4.B: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z97-PC-Mate
I flashed that bios and cleared the CMOS. I have saved the bios with AFUDOS and uploaded it to google drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1k8DDRDI…exiPVflzNv/view

best regards,
Lightz7

Hi~~test my mod , i modify file that it is from MSI website ,not your dump.

Thank you for your work, but i need the Version 7 for the Haswell CPU to get the Multi-Core-Enhancing to work.
I had the microcode already patched with UBU but i lost that BIOS and now it won’t patch the microcode(Incompatible file size).
I’ve flashed your modified BIOS and dumped it, after that i changed the Multi-Core-Enhancing to USER with AMIBCP, but it doesn’t work.

I solved it i used the version 1.69.14 of UBU and didn’t got an error, and now the multi-core-enhancing is working as well.

Hi, I also have this mainboard and want to use MCE. Can you share your bios file?
Thanks!

@Lightz7

I have a z97 PC mate too, can you share it please? i don’t understand how to put microcode 7 in the bios…

Looks like @Lightz7 is not replying @n00del & @SeBL4RD - please link me to the BIOS at MSI you want modified and I will update for you. Also, please tell me exactly what microcode you want updated to exactly what version, or if you just want them all updated to latest say that.

Bios File : BIOS 4.B
I just want to have MCE enabled on this BIOS like the Theadowner did.
I’m using it with a XEON 1231v3.

finally managed to do like Lightz7. I used an older version of UBU, which proposes to choose the microcode CPU. However, I have friends who told me that you have to pay attention to the voltage cache, or reduce the cache to the CPU base frequency. I have a i5 4440, at normal frequencies, I have a light boost, 3.3 ghz instead of 3.1, on only 1 or 2 cores, sometimes. There, I have 3,3ghz on all my cores, and it is a good performance gain. But it worries me about the life and stability of my CPU.

You think to leave the cache like that is good? without touching any voltage or reducing the frequency of the cache?

@n00del - I need to know microcode you want if you need that changed, otherwise I think MCE has no effect. Xeon can’t use MCE I think, you need to use some other method and no microcodes, unsure, but I know it’s not same as other CPU’s
Here is that BIOS you linked, with MCE enabled as only that change, rest stock. I assume it’s “Enhanced Turbo” in this BIOS at “Overclocking” section, since MCE is not present, nor Multi-Core Enhancement

Hi! Could you give the file again. The above link doesn’t work.
