Hi all,
long story short: Chuwi Corebox BIOS (AMI Bios Vers.2.18.1263 (2020) Date 09/08/2020 15:42 Ver VB2004) is a buggy mess.
I tried to install an SSD on the SATA slot, and it refused to boot (stuck at bios boot logo), eventually I realized that I wasn’t alone and this was a common problem: only standard HDD are recognized on this sata port.
Today I bought an 1TB nvm2 to replace the stock one (that is 240GB), and guess what… it isn’t recognized…
Now, I’d like to ask to you bios modding experts if there is any change to fix this broken bios.
With my CH341A programmer I dumped the only chip on the motherboard that resembled a bios chip, a GigaDevice GD25Q10 128kB. I’m not sure that this is the correct bios chip anyway.
Thank you very much,
Luca
EDIT: After a bit of research, I was able to dump the actual bios using AfuEfi64.efi from the efi shell. It is 6MB.
