Which tool would I use to set or clear UEFI Admin, UEFI User password from within Windows?
I can boot the system into Windows but not enter BIOS. Can I dump, modify, and flash modified from within Windows? I do not think so if it is unsigned…
Perhaps I could use a tool such as EasyUEFI to change the boot order and then be able to flash by starting from USB?
Not sure that will suffice, only secure boot-compatible/signed .EFI will be executed as part of the boot flow anyways, right? (As of now Secure Boot is enabled and I can’t enter BIOS to change that or the boot order via UEFI.)
So which tool/tools should I use here to get a clean flash that’ll wipe the Admin/User pass (which I believe is actually stored on the BIOS chip; there’s no 3.3V battery or clear CMOS/RTC… Disconnecting battery and “draining capacitive charge” doesn’t resolve it, the password/prompt persists when trying to enter BIOS/UEFI Setup.)
ASUS system by the way, Aptio V, recent model (2021-2023) notebook / laptop.
