Hello , anyone mod bios with Cometlake mobile cpu’s for 1151 motherboard ?

Don’t trust sellers from aliexpress.
There is no suitable for LGA1151 mobile CPU with Comet Lake core.
QTJ1 and QTJ2 are Coffee Lake with CPUID=0x906ED.

I got it here

QTJ0,QTJ1,QTJ2 are 906ED
shared with Intel Core i9-9980HK,i9-9880H
look here at Intel dokuments
edit:
but i asked Martin from HWinfo
"Those are indeed “Comet Lake-H”, they were special transient SKUs for CML and are referred as CML at Intel."
means they run as comet lake but are internaly still coffee lake’s.

Running a Comet Lake mobile CPU on an LGA 1151 motherboard is a pretty niche and advanced mod definitely not plug-and-play. Here’s the gist:

Comet Lake mobile CPUs (like the i7-10750H, etc.) are BGA chips, meaning they’re soldered directly to the motherboard in laptops. In contrast, LGA 1151 is a desktop socket designed for 6th to 9th gen Intel CPUs, so the form factors and pin layouts are completely different. That means you can’t just drop a mobile chip into an LGA 1151 board.

However, some extreme modders have attempted things like:

  • Reballing or creating custom adapters (super complex and not really worth it unless you’re doing it for the challenge).
  • BIOS mods and power delivery tweaks.
  • Custom carriers that mimic the LGA 1151 interface electrically while using a mobile chip extremely rare and unstable.

In short: if you’re considering putting a Comet Lake mobile CPU into an LGA 1151 motherboard, you’re entering hardcore modding territory. It’s theoretically possible with a lot of engineering, but not practical for 99.9% of users. Most people just go for a compatible 9th-gen desktop CPU instead.
