Welcome to the Win-Raid Forum!
Your problem while trying to modify a BIOS file by using Intel’s Flash Image Tool may have been caused by the path to the file (too many characters and with a space within it). It is never a good idea to customize a BIOS from within a personal Windows folder.
I hope, that you will get help to get the Intel ME Region recovered.
Good luck!
