Ok; thanks - I try to search for it at forum;
As I checked all components are vpro capable.
I will borrow programmer and made backup first.
You might post the firmware backup or a link to ir or the ME region and some machine specs and the output of MEInfo -verbose. Normally flashing the ME region as described should’ve worked for an identical machine, so without further details what machine this was and what you exactly did it’s impossible to say why it didn’t work…
Just a heads up;
If you use the spi_fix.rar OR spi_me.rar above, your system MAC will be hard coded to 98-90-96-b8-77-55 , which is the original supplied by motions. Super annoying, I flashed 2 machines before I realized this problem…
Until someone figures out how to blank this out or change it, I’d suggest to do this
- backup system rom using above instructions
- use Intel ME System Tools v9.1 r7\Flash Image Tool\Win32\fitc.exe
- Open the Bin file in the intel AMT configurator
- Drill down to Flash Image → ME Region → Configuration → Features Supported
- Change “KVM Permanently Disabled?” from YES to NO .
- Press F5 to build image
- Flash the image using the above instructions
Yes, super annoying especially since the problem and its solution are already mentioned:
I tried on a fresh 7020, flashing ME only, using spi_me.rar, guess what, same problem.
All have the same MAC address.
ME region doesn’t contain MAC address.
