Dell E6540 full amt ?

Hi

just closed the HP topic and based on that I try to get my goal with my other dell laptop , then I only have to tranfer some data.
But I cannot configure the amt options, mebx option is on in the bios but under f12 and crtl+P nothing happens.
With the experience I have got here I upgraded the ME firmware to the latest v9 (5mb) with the oemid option, all ok but no option to enter the config.

so what is hapening here ??

Like other Dell machines, whether AMT is enabled has to do with the initial order. That machine has 5MB firmware but advanced functionality is disabled. FWUpdate -save command produces ME Update (UPD) images which are only usable with that utility and not FITC, FPT or any other general flashers. To enable AMT you need to dump the current ME firmware (unlocked Flash Descriptor) and configure it as such at FITC before flashing back. So, dump the ME region and compress & attach it here to view its settings and unlock what you need.
