Dell Optiplex - Activate full AMT

Sorry to resurrect an old topic but it seems I have an Optiplex 5050 desktop with Intel Standard Manageability, and no KVM capability. I’m able to access basic BIOS functions but no KVM. The CPU is an Intel Core i7-6700 which according to Intel is vPro compatible. We have a whole fleet of these Standard Manageability desktops in our organization, ranging from Optiplex 5040’s to 5080’s. Will a bin file from an Optiplex 5050 work across the whole range of 5xxx series?

I’ve already bricked a 5040 trying this on my own, so that’s why I’m requesting some assistance

Which chipset do these machines have?

It appears to be a Kaby Lake chipset. Q270

OK, it’s not only processor, but also chipset and lan card that have to meet the requirements. The ME you attached gives ‘some’ errors when running MEA on it, but config can be read. But it might probably be better to use the latest FIT version ( 11.8.79.3722 afaik)

Look into this thread:
Optiplex 5050 - Intel FIT Build Error

It seems config can be still taken from your ME, but look into the settings to change, follow the guide especially when it’s about working on a region! And one thing I read over several times- you have to replace the file for the ME region given in the ‘flash layout - me binary field’, that’s not in the decomposed folder when working on a region…

Regarding 5040-5080: 5080 is 10 generation, 5070 is 8/9th gen, this will require different ME versions…

[Edit 1] I assume you followed this guide when creating the posted ME region?
[Guide] Clean Dumped Intel Engine (CS)ME/(CS)TXE Regions with Data Initialization

[Edit 2] Post the created firmware image or the ME region, so that we might ceck results.
