I have a dell mini mono raid card and now my server is dead it is useless but it gave me an idea to make an adaptor board so I could slot it into a normal PCIE slot of another computer.
From what I can get online they just run an 8 lane PCIE over a proprietary connector and I was wondering if there was engineering documents with the pinouts of the connector?
They can be found cheap as they are useless outside of the server they were designed for, I was wondering if a PCIE adaptor could be used to make use of a cheap supply of advanced RAID cards.

What do you guys think viable or a waste of time ? or is there such a device available as I could not find one.
