As long as the adaptor has no conflict with the M2 NVMe drive and the motherboard itself, the OS will detect and use the drive as standard storage disk. No worries if the bios doesn’t see the drive, no bios modifications needed since u dont need boot from the drive. Almost all these cheap adaptors uses PCIe 2.0 x4, not PCIe 3.0, this means that u can still use a PCIe Gen 3.0 slot but will only negotiate at 2.0 or that PCie 2.0 x8 (@x4)
