I have a couple of Intel 750 NVMe drives that I have soft raided together. Wanting more performance I have attempted to turn on Write Cache policies in device manager but instead I get an error that this feature is not allowed for this device. I have tried breaking the raid but still same error and have tried latest intel NVMe driver without luck.
Not sure why…
The “Write Caching” options of the listed Disk Drive are generally not available within the Device Manager for Intel NVMe SSDs, because Intel has already enabled them itself.
You can easily verify that by comparing the benchmark results with other NVMe SSDs, whose “Write Caching” options haven’t been checked.
Oh that is very interesting. Thank you for confirming it.
