There is no modded or official AHCI driver that will enable AHCI on your current system. If the option is not available at the BIOS there is nothing you can do. Even if AHCI was available, ICH10 does not support RST software either way.
Well my last post talks about modding the driver and considering Fernando has done it already and now the OP has tested with both bios options, that was a silly suggestion. However I have heard talk of bios modding here (personally I used a bios modded by ket on xtremesystems.org), and maybe a different rom slip inserted in your bios could unlock further potential of the ich10. My ich10r was able to use the intel matrix storage manager and after a bios change the intel rapid storage technology.
I find it hard to believe that there should not be evidence of someone else trying the same thing somewhere on the internet. One caveat is the actual bios flashing, I hope u have twin bios like on the P5Q deluxe.
