Did I corrupt my Intel ME Firmware?

My MSI mobos had an ME Firmware update that runs in Windows.

I ran it and after which it asked to reboot. Unfortunately the reboot was stuck doing nothing for like 30 minutes before I power-cycled the PC.

Thinking I borked the firmware - I turned it back on and checked the ME version - and the new version number showed up on HWInfo64.

However it said my ME Firmware was running in Manufacturing Mode - is that normal?

Did I screw up my ME Firmware somehow from this or is everything running fine as long as the new version number shows?

MSI has left ME firmware in Manufacturing mode quite often. This alone isn’t a sign of corruption.

That’s good to know - HWInfo currently says both the Current Working State and Current Operation Mode is Normal.

So I guess I should be fine right?

Yes, that’s a guess.

You can check the state of the ME with MEInfo and test with MEManuf (versions corresponding to ME version!)
