Hello, I own a Asus Maximus VI Hero with bios v1603 and the user manual states that there’s an option to enable/disable VT-d under “System Agent Configuration” in the BIOS option, however, I do not see that and I suspect it’s because it’s hidden due to my i7-4770k not supporting VT-d. However, I’d like to be certain that if I were to buy a VT-d supported processor (e.g. E3-1245 v3), that it would unhide the VT-d option in the BIOS menu.
Is there someone that can confirm that this Motherboard does indeed support VT-d with the right processor?
Thank you!
@nitewolfgtr - it’s there, maybe hidden by default, not sure to CPU. It is disabled by default.
Here, flash this in via USB Flashback, I’ve enabled it by default and made the setting visible for you -
Wait! You also first need to enable Intel Virtualization Technology at Advanced >> CPU config. Can you see this setting, if not, can you see CPU Config submenu?
Also, please confirm, you can see Advanced >> System Agent Config << This submenu, correct?
Actually, just confirm for me, if you can see both of those submenus or not, then I will make both of these settings visible for you even if you have CPU that does not support it (wont work like that, but the settings will be there and ready for a supporting CPU)
