ELAN Touchpad driver for windows 7

Hi there, I have a Lenovo Ideapad S145-15AST that came with windows 10 although the performance is really shot with 10 and downgrading it to windows 7 helped, I managed to install all the required drivers and everything but the touchpad works which is the “elan touchpad” by synaptics. There is windows 7 drivers but they do not work with the specific ones for my laptop.

The current driver in the device manager recognizes it as the “Intel Serial iO mini port driver” the problem is it says that there is not enough resources for the driver error code 12 and it is from the AMD I2C Controller. No matter what, I cannot fix this issue. Is there anyway of modding the windows 10 one and porting it back to windows 7?

Could you please give me your device Hardware ID and a screenshot of your device manager on this device?

Sure!

It’s not letting me upload a picture, the name in device manager is Synaptics(R) I2C Miniport. The Hardware ids are “ACPI\SYNA2B56” @notBSA

I can see that this driver error code is related to IRQ or I/O Address or Memory range conflicts.

Maybe it’s your AMD I2C Controller having a conflict with the Intel serial iO miniport driver. Maybe try uninstalling the intel serial driver since your laptop is AMD based.

I’ll just assume that windows update doesn’t offer an update for this driver but if you haven’t tried, give it a shot

You could also try uninstalling the already installed synaptics I2c miniport driver

I found a driver file here:https://www.driveridentifier.com/scan/mirror_download.php?server_name=server25.driveridentifier.com&file=server25.driveridentifier.com\www\data\download.lenovo.com\61\97\71\51\ce09060f06jj.exe that is compatible with your hardware ID

If that doesn’t work, tell me what errors it shows you

Did it work?
