I am trying to enable support on this board for two QL28 Gold ES Scalable Xeons.
I am stuck at not being able to flash the modded bios.
I must say I am an intermediate user and want to thank all the proper specialists and everyone who is helping.
Seems like my only option is to desolder the chip as the board has some electrical protection. Tried to read the chip with the SOIC8 clip attached onto 2 different programers and the chip is not recognised.
Before desoldering,
would someone spare some time and look at my modded bios and compared with the original one?
Also, current bios for this board is F7 and for some reasons Gigabyte they don’t offer the old ones anymore.
My board came with F1 dated Feb 2019 and I also have an official F3 saved.
Apparently the F3 should support the 050652 cpus but for some reasons not the ones I have.
The microcode that I used was extracted from a Supermicro bios from a board that supports my cpus.
During the extraction process I noticed that the Supermicro microcode for 050652 is dated 2017 and the Gigabyte one is 2016.
