Hi I’m trying to overclock my i5 3470 with +4 turbo bin OC on a Gigabyte B75M-D3H. The BIOS seems to disable turbo ratio adjustment through MSR / ThrottleStop since MSR_PLATFORM_INFO (0xCE) bit 28 is set to 0.
Would it be possible to get MSR_PLATFORM_INFO bit 28 to be 1 through BIOS mod so I can do +4 turbo bin OC or do I need a Z-series motherboard for that ? The BIOS menu only allows me to set the 4 core turbo ratio to 34 when it’s able to be set up to 38 with a Z-series motherboard.
