according to my test
if you modify a 100/200 seriers motherboard
me fw version last 4 numbers is 1xxx all can work with coffee lake i3
when it is 3xxx it can not boot

if you modify a z370 motherboard
downgrade me fw to 1xxx and add microcode , you can boot skylake and kabylake

and i have a question
how can i to add kaby lake support to bios
i have clevo laptop p775dm with z170 and i want to play with i7 7700
but clevo didn’t release new bios to support kaby lake

Quick question.
I have an MSI b250m-pro VDH on hand. The kids computer crapped out on us, it wont recognize GPU anymore (older H61 board)
Could i get a 9400 cpu running on this baby? I would assume to follow steps similar to the 8400, but change up a few things.
I dont plan on going bananas with overclocking, just basic computing, gaming (fortnite, warzone, roblox, minecraft)
Do you see an issue with this?

Hi, another board confirmed.
ASUS Z170-PRO
i3-8100 so far, BCLK overclock as well

Patch works. tested patcher 1.2 & 1.3. Both ok.

WARNING: Flash only bios for your MB!
– Asus MB have TPU modules which causes problems when combining MB with bios which was originally meant for different board. –

How high were you able to get the Bclk OC on this coffee lake i3, looks like 102mhz in your pic?

I imagine you weren’t able to boot with anything greater than 103mhz?

Can one of you guys please patch this BIOS for PCIE Coffee fix.
It originally supported only EA/EB Coffee, but is now edited and booting with Ed/R0 CPU, but needs PCIE patch/fix applied, and patch or manual hex/UEFI search does not find exact patterns (similar though, but I’m not good enough in assembly to edit outside of given examples)

Hello,
Had this coffee time mod for 6 months or so and I’m having big problem with Pci (2080ti running like crap or getting stuck on code 96 at boot).
So I found this thread, and I’m trying to run this Pcie-patcher.cmd it doesn’t seem to work. And I tried tons of differents things.
Launched the cmd as admin typed "c:\pcie_patcher.cmd creative.rom (cretive.rom being my bios, and also in the same “folder” as the patcher)
But I always get the same result the “Usage/Result” message.
I know it’s been a long time, but if anyone know what is wrong with it, also I tried changing the .rom to .bin, didn’t work either.
My motherboard is a Asus Z270 Maximus IX Extreme.

I tried using this pci-e patcher tool on the AsRock z370 Pro4 BIOS version 4.30E

but I cant patch it. I tried changing the Intel ME and the VBIOS and I still cant patch it.
Can anybody help me?
