Get some problems with GOP VBT and VBIOS

Hi,

i have Asus H370 Pro Gaming Motherboard and want to Update GOP VBT and VBIOS
EFI GOP Driver SKL-AML - 9.0.1079
RAW GOP VBT SKYLAKE - 212
OROM VBIOS CoffeeLake - 1013

This is the Current Version.

For OROM VBIOS i have used CloneVBT from Version 1013 to 1019 it came out as cln_vbios.bin.
I renamed this to vbtskl.bin and copied it to the UBU Tool Files Folder Files/Intel/VBIOS/

For the GOP VBT i used my Bios File .cap with mmtool and extracted the Option.rom to vbt212.dat, used the BSF File from Sonix Mirror (Intel_GOP_VBT_r4/CFL/212/vbt.bsf) with BMP Tool from Intel and Saved All Settings to transfer.ssf
Then i opened with BMP Intel_GOP_VBT_r4/CFL/221/vbt.bsf and bin File and Applied All from the .SSF File to the new File and saved it to UBU Tool in \Files\intel\GOP_VBT\vbtskl.bin

With this new bin Files i started UBU Tool and wan´t to update my VBIOS and GOP VBT but for the OROM VBIOS no new Version would be displayed only 1013 not 1019

GOP VBT works with Version 221

Any Ideas ?

The new vbios updated file for UBU must renamed to Files\intel\VBIOS as “vbiosskl.dat”

Theres a readme file inside the VBIOS folder…

“for Skylake/Kabylake/Coffeelake vbiosskl.dat - support DevID 0406”

UBU is no longer updated, support is limited for later Intel 300+

EDIT: VBTs are smaller, if you check the guide correctly you would already know this…the guide is for reading, NOT for ignoring any parts of it…
Its this kind of behaviour that leads to miss small steps and get a bricked motherboard.

UBU won´t replace it with 221 Version

File is here stored in UBU under /Files/Intel/GOP_VBT/vbtskl.bin

But has only 5KB is this correct ?

The other File for VBIOS has 65KB

Or I´m wrong with the Versions ?!?

This is the GOP UEFI VBT…NOT VBIOS VBT related.
You have VBT212 on Intel GOP VBT GUID 56752DA9-DE6B-4895-8819-1945B6B76C22
Latest is VBT231 on “Files\intel\GOP_VBT”

I don´t have even the Files for 231

The Tools and Files from the Guide goes up to 228 and not 231 (in the Intel_GOP_VBT_r4.7z) same as the Table GOP VBT SKYLAKE.docx

Further down in the above Guide there are some Links for 231 but the Links don´t work anymore.

Here is the modded File GOP VBT i checked it with CloneVBT (see Pictures)

My Problem is that UBU didn´t accept that.

If I use V to Replace GOP VBT UBU says Found more Files and leaves the RAW GOP VBT at Version 212

The Gop Driver would be accepted and the VBIOS 1019 would be accepted but not the RAW GOP VBT

Stored in /UBU/Files/intel/GOP_VBT/vbtskl.bin

Readme.txt says vbtskl.bin

Thx for the above help but i didn´t get RAW GOP VBT replaced with UBU Tool.

The UBU Tool simply didn´t replace it, the .bin File is ok as CloneVBT shows 1 post above (old_vbt.bin 212) the new one vbtskl.bin is 221

UBU Tool shows the RAW GOP VBT Skylake as available for Upgrade to 221:

For EFI GOP Driver it works to replace it, and for OROM VBIOS Coffeelake it works to replace it (or Update it) but not for RAW GOP VBT

I have tried it with all Versions i have 221, 228 ,231 extracted the .bin with UEFITOOLNE from Bios File, Extracted all Settings from this bin File and Applied it to the new Version of this File with BMP Tool.
Double Checked it with CloneVBT for Info about Version, but can´t Update it with UBU Tool.

The original bios 3101 shows using CFL variation 1013, if you want to use same build, then

About updating the modules with UBU… here it works and i can update whatever i want to max know versions, on the bios 3101

General rule, updating to max know versions…works. But this doesn’t mean that every motherboard will accept and doesn’t lose video signal or settings, so lower versions sometimes are the solution.

NOTE: Shared versions of vbt/vbios on the forum, outside the OP package, can lack the required .BSF files.
There are a few successful cases using the default config or script versions below, regarding settings, by direct replace, but this is user choice only to proceed.

Both tools/guides, UBU and GOP VBT settings transfer, are basically in a “limbo” since the end of the Intel 200 series/initial launch of the Intel 300 series.

Ok i try this, but do you have the Files for OROM 1026 ?

From Sonix MEGA Link File Folder there are only SKL Files for 1026 Version.

I have Version D1 209 Size 109C 4252 from original 1013 OROM

Version 1062 OROM i get an Error “Mismatch” from CloneVBT because Source ist Coffeelake and Target is Skylake
I need the Coffeelake Versions.
