Gigabyte B360M-H hpet missing

Hello, can you help me modding the bios file for my motherboard so that hpet setting may be visible? Im curently using F14a bios versios (the latest)

@Hell - Flash via Qflash, reboot to BIOS, load optimal defaults, save and reboot back to BIOS to make other changes you want.

Thank you very much

@Hell - You’re welcome! Please see my HPET testing notes/timer comparisons in this thread, first post below the “change-log” area, I show timer results with and without BCDedit changes
[OFFER] Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming UPD + Completely Revised Blue Theme

Unfortunately the option is still not there, i updated with the file u sent me but under the chipset tab, hpet is still not there

I told you in PM I was not going to make it visible, that takes many hours to do, vs minutes to hard disable. Maybe you missed my PM reply?

Oh, i checked it now. So it is disabled but i cant see it on the screen. How should i really check if its properly disabled? In device manager i still get it there

I forgot to mention, you may need to clear CMOS after you flash and before you boot in to load optimized defaults.

Check how I showed in the link I gave above, with CPU-z. It will always show by default in windows, unless you use BCDEdit to disable it from there, but this causes higher latency, see the link I gaev and click on the image of HPET testing, you will see result of BIOS enabled/disable and with BCDedit done and BCDEdit stock(not BCDEdit disabled)

Seems like its fixed with useplatformclock Yes. Acpi and qpc both at 3.580 mhz

That seems fine right?

@Hell - yes, and that is the default (ie if you never use BCDedit then it’s already set to yes), at least that is what I found in my testing.
Depending on what you are wanting it disabled for, or what you’re having issue with, you may want it the other way, but from my test and quick check of timers that seems best to me

Whenever u have time, could u please make the setting visible in bios for me? I really apreciate ur help

If u have some time, could u make it visible for me in bios?

@Hell
I don’t think he has the hours of time he said is needed to spend on your bios just to make one option visible. Your problem is already solved and many people here are patiently waiting for their mods. Be happy your problem is solved, why do you need it visible? I think such requests are a waste of time of the people (more like one person on this forum) that do these modifications for free in their spare time and also not nice for people that are patiently waiting…

@Hell Making this visible to you will not change anything at all, if you want it disabled flash the BIOS I sent you, if you want it enabled flash the stock BIOS.

If you must see it… I can do it in less time, maybe an hour or less, if you pick some currently visible setting you do not want or do not use/change from default, I will replace that with HPET (High Precision Timer).
What takes MANY hours is a full menu swap for some item, where I do as mentioned above but replace a setting or submenu with the menu that contains HPET (not ideal at all for this, takes way too long for just this which I’ve already disabled for you.)

Please pick some already visible setting which you do not care about, that you leave at default, and that has ONLY two options by default (cannot be three, such as Auto, Enable, Disable)
I see one setting that may be ideal that I’ve used often for others in similar edits in the past, and it may even be hidden from you anyway so you might not even use to begin with >> MIT >> MISC >> 3DMark01 Enhancement
If that does not work for you and you use this setting, pick something else and let me know where it is.

That 3dmark setting is fine, i’ve never touched it anyway. Thanks
