TPM 2.0 working on Jingsha X99-D8I
A summary of the key information:
- I arrived at the correct DEBUG1 pinout on the second attempt. This is since both “VCC3” and “LRESET” was on exactly the same voltage level on this board, and I could not distinguish between them with my multi-meter. Nothing was destroyed by my first incorrect attempt, the board simply did not start
- The original BIOS (BIOS Date: 10/17/2020 21:50:00 Ver: X99-D8I 007) was horribly slow and had no TPM support. However, my modified BD4 BIOS worked perfectly. I just followed “Example 4”, i.e. keep the original 9.x ME region
- UPT (Universal Patcher Tool) v3.0 worked perfectly on this board, I could easily turn off the speaker and control the onboard LEDs
- The official Jingsha homepage has not worked now for some months. Therefore the best page for additional information is this site. Another site has some more info, including a basic manual in PDF format
