Oh, I’m sorry! I told you the wrong motherboard model. my model is X79 E5-VG2. I also attach screenshots of the JLPC1 connector and the name of the board. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y0pINwiujiG03v6PJZfElyFE8gaLgVyj/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ROVvpt9Aqs_p4UwyOJg83QIyPUGuHgbP/view?usp=sharing
E5-VG2 uses H61 chipset, and ME v7 instead of v8. I think you can crossflash X79-VG4 BIOS since it also uses H61 chipset. Just note that since VG2 uses ITE superIO instead of Nuvoton NCT5532D, you will lose PS/2 ports, temp readings and fan control in the BIOS.
Thanks! I try this.
Can you answer one more question, please? is it better to flash the bios via afudos or Intel FPT software from Windows? if via afudos, what commands should I enter? do I need to rename bin to rom? and what commands should I enter for the firmware? I know that there is some kind of command to check the embedded firmware with the file that was loaded into the chip.
I have never used AFUDOS/AFUWIN, only Intel FPT or CH341A, so I can’t really tell whether one is superior to another. But if you decide to go with FPT, use FPT v7 (corresponding to ME version) and the command FIB posted above – it flashes just the BIOS Region and keeps the ME Region intact, which prevents boot issues in many cases. There’s no need to change the file extension from bin to rom.
with the CH341A programmer, do you just need to erase the previous bios firmware and insert the one you dropped into the bios chip?
Yes, you would need to erase the whole BIOS chip and write the new file in. You can check out the CH341A guide on Miyconst Hardware (YouTube) for detailed information.
Thank you so much! You’ve made my life easier.
I checked the video, and it looks like the motherboard is pretty low quality. However, I’m on a tight budget and mainly just want to put together a working computer.
I already have a decent GPU and most of the other components. Since I’m based in India, Amazon only seems to have this odd CPU/motherboard combo available at a price that fits my budget.
I recently built a Ryzen-based system, so this second machine would mainly be used for testing games and running virtual machines. Because of that, I’m looking for a CPU with a higher core count rather than the best gaming performance.
I’ve found a couple of other motherboard options and will share the links shortly, but those systems have fewer CPU cores. Since I plan to run multiple VMs, having more cores is important to me.
Given my situation, what would you recommend? Should I go with the cheaper high-core-count combo despite the motherboard quality concerns, or would it be better to choose a more reliable platform with fewer cores?
MOBO1
mobo2
“Mobo1” is from what I understand, by far the most reliable option here. In addition you also get important BIOS features like 4G decoding and ReBar built-in without having to crossflash any BIOS. And going back to your original question about TPM, then you can just buy a standard MSI 14-pin LPC TPM 2.0 module.
Edit: If you can find the Angxun X99-XD4 instead, then that is in my own opinion and experience by far the best option in 2026. But if you are limited to cost-effective combos, then fine, does not look bad at all.
Some good information about JieShuo X99 JS11 on this page.
Thank you for the reply, could you please also check and compare if the below Motherboard is same? as the MOBO1 was a combo, and the below one is just the motherboard
MACHINIST X99 LGA 2011-V3 ATX Server Motherboard
please add amazon.in in the beginning as the reply is blocking the link.
Thank you.

They are not the same. with “Mobo1” you get: board, RAM and CPU. With what you just linked to (I will call it Mobo3), you get just a board. It is a Machinist X99 MR9A PRO MAX, link to homepage. The big upside with “Mobo3” is that you can add more PCIe cards. All depends on what potential use cases you have now and in the future.
My take is: If budget is tight, then “Mobo1” does not look bad at all.
Thank you for the quick reply, I will do a bit research and get back to you when I am placing an order. Thank you for your time and support.
Take care and be well.
Do you have access to any Taobao proxy services? 10000 rupee is an insane price for a Chinese motherboard – the X99-XD3/XD4 only costs around 190RMB ~ 2700 rupee on Taobao and the CPUs there are dirt cheap too.
My take on this is:
- In November 2024 I documented paying 463 RMB (~6500 Rupees) for: X99D4M4, 4 sticks of 8G DDR4 RAM, and a multiplier overclockable 1660V3 directly on Taobao
- Here we are looking at almost exactly two times the price (13000 Rupees) for: Jieshou X99 JS11, 1 stick 8G DDR4 RAM, and a 2697V3
Considering that
- RAM is crazy expensive at the moment
- Inflation has increased a lot in 18 months
- Taxes are very high exporting from China to India (I am assuming India due to links being to Amazon India)
Then I honestly do not think that the price is that terrible. But just my opinion.
hello! I tried to flash through FPT and that’s what I got:

I also bought a tpm 2.0 module for the board, and it is detected in the bios, but not tpm 2.0, but as a carrier.
Seems that your current BIOS blocks Intel FPT from writing the new BIOS, even though R/W permission to all regions are unlocked in the Flash Descriptor. I also experienced the same issue on my Jingsha X79A board – under the stock Jingsha BIOS Intel FPT works fine, but after I switched to Angxun BIOS it no longer works. I think you have to use CH341A in this case.
I finally purchased the motherboard, and it has arrived. I’ll attach a couple of photos. Could you help me identify the correct TPM module for it?
I can only find 14-pin MSI TPM modules on Amazon India, but my motherboard appears to have a JLPC1 connector. I’d appreciate guidance on which TPM module is compatible with this motherboard.

Ok, seems you bought a Machinist RS9. Based on the information from another site (motherboard info, JLPC1 pinout page), then I would simply just go for a 20-pin with 2.54mm pitch width. See the first two posts in this thread for more info on the how and why. In short, the pinout seems to be identical to what I measured on my X99Z V102.
