dooby
No, 11.7.0.1229 is OK.
Use for flashing AFU 3.05.04 with /GAN param.
Hi, Any way to mod the BIOS for 9900K but no need for CPU pin mod? I am asking for an Asus WS-Z270.
Thx.
CoffeeTime 0.85a released.
Nothing special.
Added universal ME for Xeon, Vbios base up to 1062, updated microcodes, unlocked Xeon autoupdate for most of 200-series boards and added pretty nice experimental function for ASUS boards.
Full list in readme.txt
Download
" Shorted CPU pins may be replaced to soldered bridge near to Embedded Controller directly on board."
Can you point out how do that on Asus WS Z270?
Thx.
Just thought of a great idea for simplifying the physicsl part of the coffee lake mod. If we could fabricate a thin 3d printed plastic plate that would fit in the socket under the cpu matched in size and direction and dimension with the proper pads either splinted or blocked out you could idiot proof the modding process. No more rubbing pencil or applying copper tape or silver paint. All you would have to do is drop in the matching coffelake cpu modding plate for an msi, gigabyte, or Asus motherboard into the socket and place your cpu right over it. Only thing left of course be the software mod. Think this is a great idea.
About i3-9100F - I have it works well on MSI Z270 Krait Gaming after modding.
Thanks to svarmod.
I used his program CoffeeTime 0.85
My processor has stepping B0
Modded bios 2202 on for my Maximus VIII Formula using CoffeeTime 85a using a 9900k, isolated the pins along with connecting the two. My system just shuts off right after I press the power button. I added the Skylake microcode and my 6700k still boots properly. What might be the cause? Using the suggest 11.7 ME.
@WannaBeOCer ,
Try using the other simple coffeelake modding tool instead. Also maybe its a bad cpu or the blocking out + shorting pins wasnt done right. Maybe you failed to write to all of your bios sections. If you do a bios dump check to see if all your regions are unlocked? If so then use the simple tool instead to make new bios and flash via fptw after fd44 transfer. If not use flash usb programmer. Then try again. Give system time to restart as it will post over several times. Also please watch what your LED post codes are?

Instant shutdown after poweron - 99% it’s problem with ME.
Did you use SPI programmer or unlocks regions with HDA_SDO pinmod?
Hey, i’m new here.
I have a MSI Z270 Mpowe Gaming Titanium and want to run a 8700k on it.
IN CoffeTime i get the message that i have to go with a compatible Z370 region.
I tried one of the Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon but it didnt work.
Does anyone have experience with MSI Z270 Boards?
Ty for help
Can you use I3-9100F ?? What is the stepping in you processor?
@svarmod I’m pretty sure you’re right it was related to the ME. I ended up just making a new BIOS using the tool you provided and programmed my chip with that bios instead of using FlashBack.
Maximus VIII Formula now works with a 9900k with HT using bios 2202.

Nice!
ASUS overvoltaging Vcore at auto. To fix this set up "IA AC/DC Load Line" options to 0.01.
@davidm71 I’ve used the tool to mod the BIOS, but I am looking for a way to mod only the board whithout the need to mod the CPU pins.
@Bruno Your going to have to use a flash usb programmer then. I used a flashcat usb programmer with pitch wires connected to the spi 9 pin header that is on the motherboard. Was rather simple once you figure out what each pin on the spi is responsible for. If u need further help let me know.
@svarmod
can you help me with my board?
Want to run a 8700k on a MSI Z270 Mpower Gaming.
I need a Z370 region but i dont know what i should use.
Do you know which could work?
