I have an ASRock Z390 motherboard and I followed the guide in this forum to update Intel ME firmware successfully with FWUpdate (FwUpdLcl.exe). Can I directly swap the firmware in BIOS file so that the firmware can updated together with BIOS?
Usually the next bios update release and by regular update methods wont touch the ME FW if equal or higher.
Wot u desire most of the time, only for our system board, is make a dump and update the FW image with the Intel ME FW tools.
It’s possible, yes, but where’s the catch? Creating a stock bios image with updated ME would require this process, but instead of using ‘same version’ firmware you use latest version and hope that this will work out.
But this would normally only make sense if you want to flash the bios very often and by programmer?
