I’m trying to downgrade cpu microcode of my 6700hq. I found rev 24 for ext model 05.
Insyde H20EZE (easy bios editor) is showing ext model 04 (my bios dump made with spi programmer) and not 05. Why this discrepancy? 04 is “U” cpu not "HQ"
I swapped C2 microcode to 24 using Insyde H20EZE. After programming the chip with modified bios it happens that the microcode rev is still C2. I though that only Bios chip uses nonvolatile memory.
Side note is that … I’m going bonkers.
