Trying to gather the correct driver for this 12th Gen Intel B660 Chipset code named Alder Lake.
Destop Gaming built by Cyberpowerpc.
Downloaded the drivers from Gigabyte.
the problem encountered:
Using Update Driver from Device Manager when using Have Disk.
Found from this driver collection Gigabyte the following:
Intel Chipset Series 300
Intel Chipset Series 400
Intel Chipset Series 500
No B660 → Intel Chipset Series 600
Chipset = Alder Lake → 640
Southbridge = B660
Socket V 1700 LGA
Does anyone have similar issue and has found working solution?
Onboard are:
980 NVMe Samsung M2 1TB
WD Blue SN570 M2 500GB
Intel Core i5 12600KF CPU
Came with Intel XTU setup in BIOs
16GB RAM with XTU profile at 3200Mhz DDR4
MSI Geforce RTX 3050 Aero ITX
Was not able to install Intel RST Driver due to wrong platform for the board. (Intel site download)
It’s kind of hit or miss. As MSI tells to download direct from Nvidia for drivers.
Gigabyte, the drivers seem to work in some cases. It seems that these drivers are castrated. Probably cut some corners.
