Hi, im new here, this is my first post, ill try to explain my problem.
My e6420, have the nvidia quadro graphic card, well, It worked perfectly, but (this is how started the problem), I had noticed heating problems, so i changed the thermal paste. After that, the laptop turn on normally, but, in another change of thermal paste, after removing the bios battery, start normally, but when i rebooted the machine for second time, did not show image.
So, there is the problem, after remove the bios battery, start one time, but later (when it asks to configure the bios), never show image.
There is one thing i noticed. Before, the bios showed in the video section, an optimus configuration for the nvidia quadro card. Now that setting is not displayed.
I thought maybe the bios has been corrupted, so i reflashed it with the CH341A programmer to rev1 bios. Now the laptop can start normally to windows (only if battery bios is removed), just one time, after reboot, same thing, no image. Windows no longer shows the nvidia quadro card. I think maybe is damaged.
Maybe the bios for the first time, start normally with the intel integrated card, Then(after reboot) it tries to call the nvidia card, and since it is damaged (I think), it doesn’t show anything.
So here is my request. Would it be possible to modify the BIOS to always start with the integrated Intel video card? And eliminate all traces of the request for the Nvidia card?
I would be very grateful if you could help me with my problem :C.
