I’m aware that there are some ACPI SSDT tables fix for hackintosh users, like this SSDT-PMC.asl. There is a comment section inside the file, it says that intel forgot to declare PMC MMIO region in ACPI tables and, as a consequence, it is not posible to use NVRAM (What??).
- What has Power Management Controller to do with NVRAM
- I have an Intel 300-series motherboard and I can’t see PMC PCI device (after I try to unhide it), (it doesn’t show up on my 495 PCH laptop neither, so I guess it’s a normal behavior). However, I can access NVRAM at my 300-series motherboard
Now, it is also required for these hackintosh users to apply the patch changing some bootloader files, and they should already have NVRAM access in order to boot to the OS (if they are using UEFI without CSM). I don’t understand anything. - Will PMC device appear under my PCI devices if I include the mentioned ACPI SSDT table?
