How to create portable Win7 live usb

Hi,

I would like to create a win7 live usb in order to use programms such as Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, AOMEI Backupper et al to check the status of disks in the pc where the usb drive is booted.

I know how to go about doing this when it comes to Linux, but how about windows? I have got a windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x86_dvd iso file and Rufus. How do I create a "portable version" with persistence?

Thanks ever so much

@marameo :
Since your request has nothing to do with the topic “Storage Drivers”, I have moved it into the Sub-Forum “Special: Win7/Win8/Win10”.
Now to your question: After having done a simple Google search I found an answer >here<.
AFAIK the tool Rufus is able to create an USB Flash Drive with a portable Win7 Live version as well.

Thanks for quick reply.

I too have made further searches and have run into this: http://agnipulse.com/2011/06/beginners-g…tom-windows-pe/

What’s the difference doing that with Winbuilder, Make PE3, WinToUsb or Rufus?

Thanks
