I have Honor Magicbook X16 plus 2024. (Ryzen 8845hs). After using Smokeless_UMAF for RAM tuning the bios was bricked. Ive bios file (crisis name is FHCOVERY.BIN) and prepear flash (FAT32 GPT) but cant enter in crisis mode. I`ve try many combination of keys but not sucsess. Anybody knows keys combination or method to determine it from bios file? BIOS is Insyde H2O.
You just need to reset the CMOS battery (just in case you don’t see any CMOS battery, it’s probably integrated with the laptop battery), My advice don’t mess around with the onboard memory. Moreover, LPDDR5 already has pretty good tight timing and don’t even try to overclock the memory it has a bigger chance of frying your IC.
I did it but no result.
If it’s a file- name problem, somteimes the name can be found in the firmware. So take a stock firmware or dump your own firmware with a programmer and check for ‘crisis’ in a hex editor and UEFIToolNE.
Otherwise: Maybe these settings are stored in NVRAM- dump with programmer, empty / fix NVRAM, flash back.
I have found file name in firmware. And of courese settings are stored in NVRAM in this laptop. Thats why laptop have no cmos battery. I had similar problem with ACER laptop (R5 5500U) and restore it in crisis mode recovery. But I cant find nowhere key combination for HONOR laptop to enter in crisis mode.
