How to fix automaticly changed Partition Names

Something changed all my partitions names to local disk. All the drive letters are ok and in disk management all the right names are there. If I try to rename a partition it does not change and stays local disk. What would cause the partition names to change when I open computer, but disk management all the names are there. How can I make them go back to the names I chose instead of local disk.Anyone have any ideas.I also checked in safe mode and after opening the computer icon all the disk names are there like they should be,just in windows it showes local disk.

Thanks Fernando. This one worked.Open disk management under computer management console right click the affected drive and choose "Change drive letter and paths", now choose "Remove" drive letters.
then wait for 30 seconds and click refresh. and then click "Add" to regain the original drive letter. now, check your drives in my computer, you will be able to rename the affected drives this time…

Darn it.It did work while I was in windows.Once I rebooted they, most of them went back to Local disk, some stayed with the correct name though…The ones that stayed with the correct names was the windows partitions. All the storage part went back to Local disk.I installed a new windows 7 this morn and even on a fresh install all my named partitions showes as Local Disk in computer but in disk management all the names are correct the way I had them.Update-this worked even after reboot–
