I have an old computer, Alienware M17x R1, witn nForce MCP79 chipset with Phoenix BIOS. I am trying to get the AMD Radeon 8970M to work in this computer. M15x and M17x R2 is compatible with this card, and they use the same Phoenix BIOS, but have Intel 5 series chipset. Anybody have an idea how to backport the MXM structure from the M17x R2 into the M17x R1?
