I need some help to strip unnecessary data from an BIOS update file to get only the ROM.
EEPROM size is 8192K where the update file is 9216K. So there must be some junk data of 1024K.
Normally the provided flash utility from HP gives the option (create recovery or save Bios) to export the proper Bios file but this time it’s not working.

My main goal is to open that Bios file in Insyde H2OUWE which at the moment is refused with error “Read BIOS data failed”.
Where do I have to make the cuts in hex edit or is there a specific tool for it?
