Hello Friend,
Please can you tell me this file is for what.
Is it for hp ELITEONE 800 G2 AIO to support KBL CPU.
Thank you
Salim
Yes @dsanke - we did confirmation tests early on with G2, after we found about Sure Start, some things (Maybe FD or ME region only) can be changed (I don’t remember what, but it’s documented in this thread), but most could not or auto recovery happened.
@simoutekd - I tried to help, but we never had any success, for that I feel bad! I think maybe we can have success with Dell systems, but we need more time/testing and info from the failed tests etc.
What samples are you talking about, the HP? If yes, that would be nice and appreciated, but I don’t think it would help us figure out how to fix issue, since we can’t disable or remove Sure Start (unless it’s on a third BIOS chip, but I think we already looked, and even if we remove that probably cause failed BIOS routine too)
Friend,
I need your help. I want you to explain me that
I have 2 dell systems; 1st one is Optiplex 390 and 2nd one is Optiplex 3010.
Both of them is using same motherboard model which is ***** mih61r 10097-1 48.3eq01.011***** and the only difference is BIOS CHIP.
Optiplex 390 is using 25L3206E and Optiplex 3010 is using 25L6406E.
Optiplex 3010 can run both CPU Gen, 2nd and 3rd gen but Optiplex 390 can only run 2nd Gen.
My question is how I can proceed to make Optiplex 390 running 3rd Gen CPU.
Thank you
Salim
@simoutekd - I think, just put on larger similar BIOS chip as 3010 (8MB) to the 390 (4MB), then program in same BIOS of 3010
Hi
is there any solution to do that with USB Drive.
It is more easy for me.
Salim
No, you have to change chips physically, they are different sizes - 4MB on 390 and 8MB on 3010
Program a similar 8MB BIOS chip with the 3010 BIOS and install it onto the 390 board, in place of it’s current 4MB BIOS chip. This requires soldering or hot air/infrared etc.
If you send me a full BIOS dump from 3010 I can tell you which exact BIOS chips are compatible by default, it will be more than the single one you mentioned above.
Never mind, I found a dump I have already, here is the default compatible list from a A19 BIOS dump. Obviously they are lazy and have not removed the 2MB and 4MB chips from the FD VSCC table ).
Any one of these with 64 in the name will work, but don’t get a 1.8V chip, unsure if any are made for 8MB but watch out in case they are.

Hi
Today I received a New series of AIO HP computer. Model is HP PROONE 600G2 Touch. They are runing 6th CPU only and cannot support 7Th Gen.
Motherboard of this AIO is only 1 BIOS CHIP and not 2 and also there is SURESTART option in BIOS.
I think we have chance to add 7th and 8th Generation CPU to that.
I can update Bios version to last version and send you a dump.
What do you think. Can we try it.
Salim
Surestart means no, we likely can’t edit anything remember. We can try, but I know the result already, auto-recovery of BIOS
Hi
I remember that before it was 2 Bios Chip installed on motherboard but this time we have only one.
I think there is know possibility to recover bios.
Hope we can get good result this time.
Thank you
Salim
Well on the dual BIOS, one was only partial, so not what was used by SureStart to recover anyway (Maybe some, but not all)
For the Dell it’s easy, put on larger BIOS chip then program in other BIOS. Yes, we need some success… somewhere… all this trying on different boards and nothing yet, but any other BIOS I fix for people success all day long
I should have let you send me one of those AIO’s long ago! Maybe I would have figured it out by now , or still be in a pile like you have not working how you want
yes I think so.
Hello Gents, I need to clarify something did you get Intel AMT working on the optiplex 7040. I have a optiplex 5040 I 'm trying to enable AMT from the standard! I cannot write a new file with the FIT tool. I would love to have just the Me region of your bios that i can clean up for my 5040.
Thanks,
snakeman
5040.zip (3.54 MB)
Sorry guys. Should I start a new topic?
snakeman
@snakeman - AMT working was never a real concern here, but yes please start a new thread if you have not already.
If there is Dell BIOS you wanted here, download it and pull the ME, but you really should not transfer ME even with FITc tool from one model to such a different model due to chipsets are different and many other things on the motherboard
@Lost_N_Bios I’m getting there slowly I have some old decommissioned opitplex 7010 ready to try them now.
Thanks,
snakeman
Hi
How are you?
Today I received a New HP All-in-one system model Eliteone 800 G3 running intel i5-7500 cpu.
This system still in Manufacturing mode and Machine is not committed also.
When I tried to commit it and lock MPM with DMI Tool old version 2.10, I am getting a message that The UEFI Tool does not support this platform.
Itried also to use 2.12 and 2.13 and getting same message.
I need your help if you have a tool to do that or tell me how to solve it.
Regarding Dell optiplex 390 model which is running 2nd Gen intel cpu, can we update it to use 3rd Gen cpu by keeping same bios chip or no.
Thank you
Salim
Hi Mr. Lost_N_BIOS can You help me with mod for HP EliteOne 800 G2 CPU Gen6 to Gen7
@simoutekd - Hey! Sorry I missed your post for SOOO LONG!!! I don’t know what you need for 800 G3 issue mentioned above.
Dell Optiplex 390, I don’t know CPU’s by “Gen” so you need to tell me what kind of CPU’s you are talking about.
@331088 - Very sorry, I tried long time to help simoutekd as I mentioned in PM, I don’t think this is something I can solve without having that board (or possibly, this is one we ran into that has HP Sure Start too?!)
