As far as I can tell, I struck some luck and managed to bag myself some HP 600G2’s which don’t have surestart engaged (no second bios chip installed) - which means we should easily be able to mod the bios - given that I can actually get a functioning intel FIT tool working for an ME version which is as of yet unknown.
I need to be able to run some Xeon 1151 CPU’s from gen 6, 1270v5’s to be exact, although a modification of microcode for gen 7 CPU’s also would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone wants to earn some beers or coffee please have a crack at it, or teach a peasant how to fish

The interesting thing is that this is also the exact same motherboard as the HP 800 G2, save the missing bios chip and probably absent surestart ECC code. Maybe if I can mod this I can desolder the old Nuvoton SuperIO and solder stock ones without custom eeprom code for surestart - with the bios from a 600G2 ![]()
