Hello all,
I got an Acer 772G, got 2x2.5" slot and an mSata port, till 2 month ago i was using a 840 Pro 128Go + 1To HDD with no problem. Then i added a M550 128Go mSata Hdd … i started too have some nasty freeze with every time the same error in log : Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.( Source: iaStorA )
I was using the “stock driver” which was an intel driver, i then updated this driver to the last i could find (14.8.1.1043_A03)… same problem come up.
I can see during these freeze that the “hdd led” is full on, not blinking… which never happen in normal use.
I’ve just switched to the “Standard SATA AHCI Controller” as said in one of your thread, i’ll report back if the problem is still here.
@Honu :
Welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
SATA and mSATA ports are different things and may need different drivers.
Why are you running your Intel SATA Controller in RAID mode?
So you switched the Intel SATA Controller from “RAID” to “AHCI” mode? Usually the result is a BSOD while booting.

In fact i never choosed between raid or anything else, i do not even know WHY i got a "Device\RaidPort0" message while i do not have any raid system up … !
So i’m now using the "storahci.sys" (Standard SATA AHCI Controller) instead of the "iastor.sys" (Intel 8 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller) which was causing the journal error…
Something else i’ve noticed is that i’ve Samsung Magician installed and their "Rapid" System was adding a driver on my Crucial mSata … perhaps this one was the culprit, disabled now, the driver has disapeared.
Well i can’t find anything else then this "Intel 8 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller"
So far the problem as gone… i suppose the move to the “Standard SATA AHCI Controller” is the solution…
