Hello,
i am in big headache … I am looking for a solution to fix the issue that involve in my win8.1 machine.
the configuration is:
Asus H81M-PLUS
SO → SSD X25-M 80GB
SOFTWARE / GAMES → WDC WD10EZEX
Sometimes during the play of some games my system freeze , and i have to reset the machine.
In the event viewer i have this two events:
- Provider
[ Name] storahci or iastorA
- EventID 129
[ Qualifiers] 32772
- Provider
[ Name] disk
- EventID 153
[ Qualifiers] 32772
I am using the Intl 8 Series/C220 Chipset Family SATA AHCI controller
Ver 13.5.2.1000
I tryed using the the Microsoft one.
I checked the drive, they are both good.
I digged a lot to find a solution and i found some people with my same issue who suggest to:
use storahci instead of iastora
messing up with power setting feature.
enable hot swap for all the devices
enable single I/O using regedit
and other stuff.
Is there Someone who had got the same issue who help me to find a solution.
Thank you a lot.
Regards.
Giacomo

Hello Giacomo,
welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
Since I cannot help you myself, I hope, that you will get a good tip from someone, who had the similar problem, but was able to solve it.
I doubt, that your occasional system freezing is caused by the in-use AHCI driver.
