First hello everyone (cause i didn’t see special topic like on other forums).
Not sure if I should open new topic but its urgent and I’m struggling with HP 15-g001sm (REV 21F7-100) laptop and I’m driving crazy. I think I can say that I am advanced user and I know what I’m doing but this is the first time I’m, more or less, giving up…
I have made more than 200 XP installation over last years while more than 10% of them were “XP cannot be installed on that laptop and no one could do that”…But this time, unfortunately, I have tried restoring images with acronis, macrium, universal restores, drivers integration with nlite but none of that worked. Googling did not help and last straw is this forum…
Can you please direct me how to do it. I spent more than 20 hours now and still didn’t find a solution. Here is configuration of laptop.
AMD E1-2100 APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics
Northbridge AMD K16 IMC rev. 00
Southbridge AMD Kabini FCH rev. 7.2
I have slipstreamed drivers with nlite and when “starting installation” shows laptop shuts down and that’s the end of the story. Part with choosing disk for installation and disk preparation (formatting etc) never shows up.
Looking forward to hear your reply.
Thanks in advance,
Ivan
@ivan_zg :
Hello Ivan,
welcome at Win-RAID Forum!
Which drivers did you integrate? The only required driver is the AHCI resp. RAID driver, if your on-board SATA Controller is running in AHCI or RAID mode.
Which are the HardwareIDs of your onboard SATA Controller? You can see them by opening the Device Manager, doing a right click onto the listed SATA Controller and choosing the options "Properties" > "Details" > "Property" > "HardwareIDs".
Maybe you have to correct the ACPI settings. Try to hit F5 or F7 when prompted to hit F6 while trying to get XP installed and choose another ACPI setting.

Dieter (alias Fernando)
Hi Fernando…
I have installed alll your AMD AHCI/RAID drivers from here Recommended AHCI/RAID and NVMe Drivers
Hardware IDs are:
PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7804&SUBSYS_21F7103C&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7804&SUBSYS_21F7103C
PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7804&CC_010601
PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_7804&CC_0106
and it is listed in your "32bit AMD SB7xx & SB8xx textmode driver v3.3.1540.33 WHQL prepared for XP integration"
Will try other ACPI setting…
I was pressing F5 and F7 and it entered screen for choosing two options.
Tried "Other" but then reports "no floppy with drivers found" (or sth like that). After that I have chosen "Standard PC with C-step i-486" and it continued…YEAH…looks promising. We will see:)
Thanks once more
So i managed to install Win xp successfully…Now struggling with rest of the drivers is to come - while using DRPS BSOD poped up…
Thanks for all help.
That is fine.
What is "DRPS"?
The best way to find the best suitable drivers is
a) to open the Device Manager and to find out the HardwareIDs of the devices with missing or not properly working drivers and then
b) to do a Google search for an XP driver, which supports the related device (VendorID and DeviceID).
DRPS - driver pack sollution.
Im still misiing driver for
Floppy drive???
Wifi and
Smart card reader (smart card reader is recognized and after installing drivers, BSOD appeares so i decided to leave it as is).
Check the HardwareIDs of the related devices by doing a right click onto them and choosing the options "Properties" > "Details" > "Property" > "HardwareIDs".
