Intel AHCI/RAID drivers Windows 10 and m.2 NVMe SSD?

Greetings. I am moving to a clean Windows 10 install on an Asus Maximum VIII Hero, Intel i7-6700 and an M. SSD drive. Probably the new Samsung Pro 950 if I can wait, or an older one on the market.
It will be running in single mode. In all my past builds, even if I was not running RAID, just AHCI, I would install the Intel RST.

Now, with an NVMe M.2 drive running as a single drive, am I correct that this does not make sense to install??
Thanks,

BJB

@ BJB:

According to my knowledge it wouldn’t make much sense for your system to install the Intel RST Software, because you don’t want to create a RAID array.

And based on your other excellent analysis, since I am running the newest Windows OS and newest chipset, I don’t need to install the chipset drivers either!
